WA Contact StudioPrivacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-27. The short version: your WhatsApp data never leaves your device unless you send it somewhere yourself.
What the extension reads
WA Contact Studio reads the data that WhatsApp Web already stores in your browser - group names, member lists, contact names and phone numbers, chat lists and WhatsApp Business labels - only on web.whatsapp.com and only to show it to you and export it when you ask.
What we collect
Nothing from your WhatsApp. We have no servers that receive your WhatsApp data, no analytics and no tracking. Your settings, export history, exclusion lists and tracked groups are stored locally in your browser and are deleted when you remove the extension.
When data leaves your device - only when you choose
- Exports are saved as files on your device (Excel, CSV, vCard, JSON).
- Google Sheets sync (optional): when you choose it, the contacts you export are sent directly from your browser to your own Google account. The extension can only access spreadsheets it created (Google's "drive.file" permission). Firefox asks for your consent first.
- License activation (Pro): your license key and an anonymous device ID are sent to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, to verify your purchase - at activation and about once a day. Firefox asks for your consent first.
- Affiliate attribution: if you arrived on our website through an affiliate's link, the affiliate's code (not your data) is attached to the checkout link so the affiliate gets credit.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy (our merchant of record) under their privacy policy. We receive your email address and order details to provide your license and support. On Apple devices, purchases are handled by the App Store.
Our website
This website uses no third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If you arrive through an affiliate link, the affiliate code is stored in your browser's local storage for 30 days.
Your rights
Because we don't hold your WhatsApp data, there is nothing for us to export or delete - removing the extension deletes everything it stored. For purchase records, email support@YOUR-DOMAIN.com and we'll help under GDPR, Kenya's Data Protection Act and similar laws.
Your responsibilities
Phone numbers belong to real people. Use exported contacts only where you have a legitimate reason, respect applicable data-protection and anti-spam laws, and follow WhatsApp's Terms of Service.
